Rainbow Dusk Commission Policy
Please read this page in full before placing an order!!!
Thank you so much for your interest in commissioning a custom sculpture from me. Please read this page in its entirety so that you have a full understanding of my policies, restrictions, and procedures. By placing an order, you agree that you have read and understood everything on this page. If you have any questions concerning my policy, please contact me before placing an order.
Sculpture Construction
All sculptures are made primarily with Super Sculpey, a highly durable polymer
clay, over a foil and wire armature. Sculptures are fully painted using Delta Ceramcoat acrylic paints.
A protective enamel coating is sprayed over the entire surface of the finished figure to prevent wear and chipping of the paint. This enamel is
available in either matte or gloss finish.
What I Won't Sculpt
- Anthropomorphics/Furries
- Sexual content of ANY kind or explicit nudity
- Excessive Blood/Gore/Violence
- Pregnancies or obese characters
- Overly Religous Themes
- Trademarked Characters
- Hate Propaganda
I reserve the right to refuse any art request for any reason.
Timeline
Once the initial payment is made on the commission, a completion date will be issued to the customer. Normally, this will be no more than 3 months from the payment date. However, sometimes I am busy and the wait may be longer. Please remember that I do work outside of commissions including gifts, personal projects, and portfolio work. However, pieces are guaranteed to be done by the date issued.
Decided to get a sculpture as a last minute gift? I do have a rush service available for an additional charge of 30% of the total sculpture cost. This will move up the completion date to your specifications. Please contact me for availability of this service.
Progress Photos
All commissions will include one progress photo which I will send via e-mail right before the sculpture is baked. No changes to the sculpture's structure
will be made after the approval of this photo. Be sure to check your e-mail often so that work will not be delayed.
Payment
Commissions under $50 must be paid in full before work has begun. Shipping costs may or may not be included in this payment. Commissions $50 and up will be paid for in 2 installments. The first installment will be a half payment of the total amount of the commissions quote. (ie. if i quote you $100 for a piece, $50 will be due as the initial payment) This first installment is NOT refundable. Upon completetion of the piece and approval of the commissioner, the second installment will be due. If the piece isn't approved, the second payment will be waived, but initial payment will not be refunded. The second installment will be half of the quoted price, and will also include shipping and insurance charges.
All prices on these pages are listed in US funds and I only accept payment in US funds. I accept payment via PayPal only. It's free to sign up for an account, and easy to send money.
Shipping
I ship worldwide, via UPS and USPS. I require insurance on ALL packages. I am NOT responsible for any breakage that occurs and do not offer refunds. If your piece arrives in unsatisfactory condition, you must seek a refund through an insurance claim with the post office or UPS.
Since I have been experiencing more breaks lately on pieces with certain add-on's**, I will be requiring such pieces to be shipped overnight or 2-day air service. Please keep this in mind when you are placing your order, as this will mean higher shipping costs. I hate to have to do this, but it's the only solution I've come up with to prevent breakage and continue offering a full range of sculptures to my customers.
** Spread wings, walking/standing poses, or dynamic poses.
Copyright Info
All artwork I create for myself or others is copyright to me. Purchase of a commission from me does NOT include transfer of copyright. Though I won't claim rights to any characters that aren't mine, I hold all rights to the artwork I create. I may use artwork in my personal and/or professional portfolios. In addition, I may make and sell copies of artwork unless agreed upon otherwise in advance.
All artwork commissioned is for personal (non-commercial) use only.
Sculpture Care
Never clean your sculpture with any chemical cleaner. This may
damage the finish and/or remove the paint. Dust sculptures using
a soft, clean pant brush, and/or clean using a soft, slightly damp
cloth. If any breakage occurs, Super Glue and Epoxy both work wonders.
I've found that super glue works best on smaller breaks, and epoxy
works better on larger breaks.
